Getting the most out of Restform.
Short guides to everything in the app. Most things take a tap or two.
Getting started
- Pick a username. It’s unique to you across Restform. You can change it later in your profile.
- Check in. Tell Restform how you slept and how you feel. It takes about twenty seconds, and you can do it every day, training or not.
- Log a workout. Tap Start, then pick one of our routines or begin with an empty workout.
Log on three different days and Home switches from these steps to your insights.
Workouts
Start from a routine
Tap New entry, then Workout, and choose a routine. Ours are a good place to start; any routine you build or save from a workout shows under Made by you. Star the ones you use most and they appear first.
Log sets as you go
Enter weight and reps, or distance and time, then tick the set when it’s done. The rest timer starts on its own and counts you into the next set. You can change or turn off the rest time for each exercise.
Add or reorder exercises mid-workout
Use Add exercise at the bottom of a workout to search the library. To change the order, open an exercise’s menu and choose Reorder exercises.
Can’t find an exercise?
Search by any name you know it by, as most exercises have a few. If it still isn’t there, create your own from the Library and it’s saved for next time.
Check-ins and journals
Do a daily check-in
Tap New entry, then Journal. Choose your mood, energy and how you slept. That’s a complete check-in; writing is optional.
Use a journal template
Start from a blank page or a template for gratitude, sleep, mindfulness or an evening reflection. Copy any template in the Library to make it your own; the original never changes.
Add photos
Add photos to a journal entry if a day deserves them. They’re private to you, like everything you write.
Insights
Home shows your streak, workouts, volume lifted, muscle split, energy, sleep and mood for the timeframe you choose. Use the two menus in the title to switch between workouts, journals or both, and between the past week, four weeks, three months or year. Each number compares with the span before it.
Your account
Change your name, username or units
Open your profile from the bottom of the sidebar, or the Profile tab on your phone. Tap Change next to any detail, and switch between kg and lb, or light and dark, below.
Change your email
Tap Change next to Email in your profile. It opens an email to us with your current address filled in; add the new one and we’ll move your account over.
Didn’t get your sign-in code?
Check your spam folder, then tap Resend code. Codes expire after a few minutes, so use the newest one.
Delete your account
At the bottom of your profile. It removes your workouts, journals and photos for good.
